Lately our market has become as predictable as turkey being served at Thanksgiving. True to the fall season, there was less activity in October (stats provided by DMAR):
– Prices remain stable with only slight fluctuations.
– October ended with 15% less homes than in September.
Sellers looking to move by the end of the year, the market is still ripe with buyers. We are still far…FAR from a balanced market – so even in the “off season” you can expect to get an excellent return.
Buyers, rather than compete and pay more for a home in the spring, consider house-hunting right now. There are many benefits to purchasing now (tax deductions, easier to negotiate, etc.).
